While it may not seem like a tremendous risk, there is always the chance that you could lose or have destroyed the back cover of your Blackberry smartphone, resulting in an exposed battery and possibly sim card for some service providers. This is a risk that can be negated if you replace or backup your battery cover with a new accessory. There are a number of available Blackberry battery covers on the market, including OEM original parts for models as old as the Blackberry 7100 and as new as the Blackberry Bold.
